Beach cup holders: sand stake, umbrella tray or Steadi?
Match the holder to the job: anchoring in sand, attaching to furniture, creating a surface or widening a drink’s base.

A sand stake is for anchoring in suitable ground
A stake-style beach drink holder pushes into the sand and supports a container above it. Check the maker’s instructions, ground requirements, cup opening and handle clearance. It can be the better choice when you need an anchored holder and have suitable sand. Steadi has no stake and should not be treated as one.
An umbrella cup holder needs the right pole and attachment
A pole-mounted tray can put drinks around an umbrella, but the tray must match the pole and its mounting instructions. Check height, opening size and how people will reach around chairs. Steadi does not attach to an umbrella pole, and placing it on a tray does not establish that the tray can support the load or full footprint.
A chair holder travels with the chair
An integrated cup pocket or compatible attached holder may keep a drink within reach without a separate table. Check the exact chair, container depth and handle clearance. Flexible pockets and angled attachments vary. Steadi is freestanding; it has no strap or clamp to secure it to a chair.
A low table gives more than one item a place
If the problem is finding a spot for drinks, sunscreen and a book, a stable low table may solve more of it. Check level ground and leg support. Steadi can add a wider resting base for compatible drinkware on a supported tabletop, but it cannot replace the table itself.
Steadi suits a supported resting spot you already have
Steadi slips onto container bases 2–3.15 inches across and rests on a 5.2-inch footprint. Choose it when a wider base is the useful addition and the whole holder can rest level and supported. It is not an anchor, suction mount or spillproof lid. A soft patch of sand calls for a better surface rather than a stronger promise.
Measure the actual drink, whichever option you choose
A can, handled tumbler and tapered cold cup have different bases and clearance needs. Measure across the container bottom and check full seating. Do not infer compatibility from capacity alone. If your main concern is sand entering the drink, start with a suitable lid instead of expecting the holder to seal it.
