A beach drink packing checklist that starts with your cup

Plan the container, supported resting spot, lid and cleanup before you pack your beach bag.

Choose the drinkware you will actually use

Start with your everyday water tumbler, a standard can or a compatible cold cup. For Steadi, measure the container bottom: 2–3.15 inches across, inclusive. Seat it fully and check that a low handle or added boot does not interfere. Pack the actual tested pairing rather than assuming another container with the same ounce label will fit.

Check the beach’s own container rules

Rules vary by destination. For example, the National Park Service’s Sand Beach page for Acadia lists restrictions on glass and alcohol. Check the official rules for your exact beach before choosing drinkware. The clear cup in this illustration represents plastic, not glass. A familiar-looking container is not a substitute for checking local rules.

Bring the surface if you cannot count on one

Decide whether you will use a stable low table, a suitable closed cooler lid or a level firm spot that supports the whole base. Leave 5.2 inches across for Steadi, plus room to reach it. A towel over loose sand does not by itself create a firm surface.

Match the lid to the problem

A suitable lid can address an open drink’s exposure to sand or splashes. Use the container as its maker intends. Steadi does not seal the opening or insulate the drink. Choose your bottle or tumbler for its own closure and temperature features when those matter.

Keep the drink station easy to see

Place drinks within reach and away from the route between bags, chairs and the water. Mixed holder colors can help your group recognize their chosen sets, but they do not replace keeping track of whose drink is whose. Move drinks first when rearranging equipment.

Clean out the grit before packing away

Empty and dispose of containers appropriately and take your belongings with you. Hand wash Steadi to remove grit, then let it dry. No dishwasher or microwave. Check the fins and container base before the next use so trapped sand does not interfere with seating.
